Dinner for New Principals in Sydney

(Sydney, July 10th 2014) WYPSA (Australia) is happy to host a dinner gathering for our two new principals — Dr. So Ying Lun (WYHK) and Mr. Chung Wai Leung (WYK) on 9th July. The two principals, along with Fr Stephen Chow and a number of teachers from both schools, were visiting Sydney for a local Jesuit education conference.

2014 Event: BBQ Sunday at Lane Cove National Park

Hi all and welcome back everyone~!

A BBQ is coming up on this Sunday at the Lane Cove National Park. Feel free to bring along your friends and family to join us and enjoy the amazing view of nature with delicious food and drinks.

When and where?
This event will be held on this Sunday 9th March;
We will meet up at Chatswood Station at 11.

What to bring?
Sunscreen, hat and water.

Dinner gathering with Father Chow and teachers

Last week (13th November, Wednesday) WYPSA Australia organised a dinner gathering with Father Chow and a number of teachers, who were visiting Sydney for a Jesuit workshop. Dinner was held in Marigold Citymark Restaurant.

Father Chow took the chance to share some of the events happened over the last year, including the arrival of new principals for the two Wah Yan, as well as future plans for School Development Project.

Annual General Meeting 2013

The Annual General Meeting of Wah Yan Past Students’ Association (Australia) Inc. was held on 17th May 2013. We had a room full of Wahyanites, many of which were young Wahyanites study at University. We are delighted to see the younger generation taking over the executive committee of WYPSA. The new Executive Committee has been elected as follows:

Dinner with Wah Yan Teachers

Fr Stephen Chow (周守仁神父 Supervisor of the two Wah Yan Colleges), Dr John Tan (陳岡校長 Principal of WYK) and Mr Stephen Wong (黃志強老師) will be visiting Sydney in May.

We are organising a dinner with them on Friday 21 May before they return to Hong Kong.

Free Parking is available in the basement and dinner cost will be shared amongst the attendants.

International Conference 2010

This year’s Wah Yan International Conference will be held from 20-22 August in Los Angeles, USA. The organising committee held a press conference last week to announce the theme “Wah Yan Education, Spirit and Services” and the program, including the speakers, activities and tours to local media in LA. You can visit the IC2010 website to get latest information and register.

Dinner with Fr Chow

CD1131Fr Stephen Chow (周守仁神父 Supervisor of the two Wah Yan Colleges) will be visiting Sydney in May. We are organising a dinner with Fr Chow on 8 May, former teachers of Wah Yan who are living in Sydney will also join us for a reunion.

Dinner with Mr Lo Wing Sun

The dinner with Mr Lo Wing Sun was very successful. We had two full tables with a large number of younger Wahyanites coming to WYPSA activities for the first time. Mr Lo met up with many of his students from the 80’s, 90’s and 00’s. He also had a great re-union with two of his own classmates from 1977 class who are living in Sydney: William Wong and Cyril Yau. (Cyril also acted as our photographer for the night with his professional gears, thanks!
